MONEYPENNY: Cara Fisher Scott

Robin L. Fisher has been a trusted State Farm Insurance Agent for more than 36 years, proudly serving the residents of North Brevard with reliable insurance guidance and exceptional customer care. Beyond his professional work, Robin is a longtime community leader dedicated to strengthening the place he has called home since 1989.

Robin’s public service includes two terms as the Brevard County District 1 Commissioner (2008–2016), including service as Chair. He previously served on the Palm Bay City Council, Titusville City Council, and as Vice Mayor of Titusville. Throughout his career, he has championed projects that advance economic opportunity, strengthen neighborhoods, and improve quality of life.

He has served on many regional boards, including the United Way, Brevard Community College Board of Trustees, Tourist Development Commission, and the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast. Robin also served two terms as Chair of the Central Florida YMCA Board, leading efforts across six counties and 26 locations. His fundraising leadership helped bring the Titusville YMCA Family Center to life, raising $2.5 million for its construction and earning him the YMCA’s highest honor—the John W. Sterci Award.

Robin continues to serve the community through board roles with the Community Foundation for Brevard, Brevard Zoo, 321 Empowerment, Central Florida YMCA, and Titusville YMCA.

A recognized leader across the Space Coast, Robin has received numerous awards for his service, business excellence, and commitment to the community, including honors from Junior Achievement, the Boy Scouts of America, LEAD Brevard, the Rotary Club of Titusville, and Florida Today Finalist for Volunteer of the year.

Robin played a pivotal role in establishing the North Brevard Economic Development Zone, the largest tax-increment district in Florida, which has generated millions of dollars to support high-wage job creation and redevelopment in the region. He also served as Board Chair of the Brevard County Field of Dreams, helping raise more than $3 million to build a multi-sport park designed for individuals with special needs.

Before his public service and business career, Robin was a standout athlete. After graduating from Satellite High School, he attended the University of Florida on a football scholarship, where he set the still-standing record as the only defensive lineman to lead the team in tackles for a season. He later played professionally in the USFL after being drafted by the Miami Dolphins.

Robin and his wife, Rhoda, have been married for 36 years and are proud parents to Cara and Cory, and grandparents to two beautiful granddaughters.
