Special Agent Mason Williams, Sr. has called beautiful Brevard County home for 30 years, having begun his law career in Orlando, Florida in 1981. As General Counsel and Principal with BRPH Companies, Inc. and a former partner with Gray Robinson PA, Mason has spent his adult life serving and supporting organizations that educate and care for children, including the Brevard Schools Foundation, PREVENT of Brevard, the Children’s School, Jr. Achievement, the Brevard Cultural Alliance, and the Champions for Children Society. He has also been a Mentor with Take Stock in Children and served as Guardian ad Litem for a number years, both of which were real eye-openers on the challenges facing at-risk children. Mason coached Little League and high school baseball for 18 years, served as choir director, praise team leader and band member for two area churches, and also serves on the Board of Keep Brevard Beautiful. Mason’s legal career spans 40 years, and he is very proud of his 13 year battle with the Corps of Engineers and Justice Department that successfully brought the extensive Shore Protection Project to Brevard County that restored our pristine beaches.
Mason is a graduate of the University of Florida (undergrad and law school) where he met the love of his life, Mary. Mary’s love for children is no better shown than by the fact that she was a well-known children’s entertainer and professional puppeteer for many years and long-time children’s ministry director. Mason and Mary celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this year and have two devoted and talented sons who, much to their parents’ delight, stayed in Brevard County after finishing college.
Supporting the Children’s Advocacy Center of Brevard and its work in helping child victims overcome the trauma of abuse and neglect is a natural for Mason. Children are the most innocent among us and deserve the most care, happiness and security we can give them. There are few things in life that can match the joy and laughter of a child.
